Seabass, Suzuki on Tokyo Bay
Midnight fly-fishing on Seakuro.
Swamped with work and domestic obligations, I've been itching to get out on the water for some time. So when Shige San contacted me through the Tokyo flyfishing club page and asked if I'd be interested in slinging flies at seabass under the lights of Tokyo Bay, I jumped at the chance.
Not certain what to expect as my previous sessions chasing Seabass had all been limited to sparce shoreline access points. Captain Masuda was friendly and unassuming, despite the minor language challenges he did well explaining proper presentation when casting from a boat. Managed 3 respectable fish that night. I’ll definitely be back.
